The **Viper Hug Poplar Burl Knivesandtools Exclusive** is a modern gentleman’s knife, designed by knife maker and designer Sacha Thiel. The Hug was inspired by the Birdy. One of his most famous custom models. Distinguishing features of this model are the slim profile and the pointed Wharncliffe blade. A practical blade shape that dates back to some of the oldest traditional gentleman’s knives. The Viper Hug’s compact size and low weight make it perfect for both the EDC enthusiast and the modern gentleman or gentlewoman who pays attention to every centimetre and gram.
## Slipjoint
The Viper Hug has a slipjoint mechanism. This makes the knife legal to carry almost everywhere, because the blade doesn’t lock when opened. You open this gentleman’s knife with a sleek nail nick that is located in the blade. The Hug opens easily and closes with a solid click. There is also a halfway stop that prevents the knife from accidentally closing and ending up on your fingers during use.
## M390 steel blade
For this knife, Viper only used the best materials. The blade is no exception. M390 steel is a premium steel with great sharpness retention. It’s one of the best steels available today, and it won’t disappoint.
## Titanium and poplar burl handle
This is a special **Knivesandtools Exclusive** edition of the Viper Hug. Exclusively available at Knivesandtools, and only a limited number of editions produced. Each knife comes with a special Knivesandtools Exclusive sticker. The frame of the Viper Hug is made from top-quality, lightweight titanium. The scales of this Exclusive edition are made of poplar root wood. This is an elegant and natural material, so each knife is unique. The scales may therefore differ from what you see in the photos.
This version of the Hug has two titanium bolsters on both sides of the scale.
Each Viper Hug comes with a stylish leather pouch that enables you to store the knife in your trouser or jacket pocket. This pouch ensures that the knife won’t come into contact with other gear in your pocket and leave scratches. Plus, it looks great!
