**Tramontina Churrasco steak knives** can tackle any type of barbecued meat. The blade is made from stainless steel and the handles are made from wood. Stainless steel rivets make sure the scales stay in place. The wood is modified and dishwasher proof according to the supplier. We do, however, not recommend putting these knives in your dishwasher.
## Polywood made by Tramontina
The handle of the products in this set is made from Polywood. But not the polywood that is often used for garden furniture. Tramontina uses a unique production technique when making the handles. They use an agent that truly fills up the pores of the (100% real) wood.As such it cannot absorb any more liquids. This treatment won’t change the colour. The wood was given the FSC label, the label for sustainable forestry. Compared to traditional Polywood, this is real wood and not plastic.
