The **Case Trapper** is a traditional pocket knife with the classic Trapper shape. This pattern was first used by hunters and poachers. This specific version has two blades: one classic clippoint and a traditional spearpoint. Both blades have, when it comes to skinning game, their own purpose. When opened they are kept in place by a slipjoint.
## Case Tru-Sharp SS steel
The blade is made from Case Tru-Sharp SS, a stainless type of steel which closely resembles 420HC steel. Characterizing for this type of steel is that you can quickly sharpen it.
## Pocket Worn Old Red Bone
The handle is made from *Pocket Worn Old Red Bone* which is, in fact, cow bone enhanced with an interesting texture after which it has been given a colour and a nice polish. This classic of material radiates class and elegance. It is completely in line with the look and feel of Case. In this case a *Corn Cob* texture was chosen. This shape was inspired by the texture of a corn cob.
The addition ‘Pocket Worn’ means that a little more attention was paid to the finish. As such the knife looks worn in, as if years of wearing it in your pocket gave it a nice polish.
## Case Knives: traditional pocket knives
Case has been making pocket knives since 1889. Each knife is assembled and finished by hand which is unique for an American brand. As such each Case knife is unique. Case knives are very collectable and are great companions to your standard EDC pocket knife. Great as a gift, for yourself and for someone else.
