The **Fenix UC35 V2.0 flashlight** is incredibly practical. Because it is enhanced with two different switches you have complete control over the controls. As such you can use the UC35 V2.0 for many different situations: as you walk your dog, on the campsite and when you go for a run. However, because of the extremely low moonlight mode of one lumen this light is also great for professional use and law enforcement. As such you can light up objects that are close by without blinding yourself.
The popular Fenix UC35 was upgraded in 2018. Compared to its predecessor it is a little shorter, more ergonomically-shaped and enhanced with more lumens. The flashlight is now also enhanced with a wear resistant, stainless steel switch. Fenix also changed the LED light: this is now a Cree XP-L Hi V3 LED light. This LED light provides a combined beam. As such you can light up everything within a distance of 266 meters.
## How to use the Fenix UC35 V2.0
You use the tactical switch of the Fenix UC35 V2.0 to turn the light on and off. To switch between the different light modes you press the stainless steel switch. Is the light turned on? Hold the stainless steel switch down and the light will continue to function in the stroboscope mode. To deactivate it you press the button again. Thanks to the memory of the light it will always start with the mode last used. This does not only apply to the stroboscope mode.
## Charging the Fenix UC35 V2.0
The head of the light contains a micro-USB port. A rubber cover ensures that the head is protected against water and dust. A such the USB-port also cannot be damaged. Want to check the battery status while charging the light? A red-green charging indicator shows you the charging status.
The Fenix UC35 V2.0 comes with a 18650 Li-Ion battery but can also be used with two CR123A batteries. Want to know how full the battery is? Each time you turn the light on the battery indicator will show you the current battery voltage. As such you can find out how full or empty the battery is. This indicator does not work in combination with the CR123A batteries.
## Prevent deeply-discharged batteries
Are you not planning to use your flashlight for a while? In that case, it’s best to unscrew the tailcap (the bottom end of the handle) a few turns. This will prevent your battery from becoming too deeply discharged, which can happen if the circuit of the battery stays in contact with the flashlight without being used or recharged in the meantime.A deeply discharged battery cannot always be revived and recharged, which would be a shame!
Do you have a flashlight with a built-in battery? Then make sure to charge your flashlight at least once every 3-4 months, even when not in use. This prevents the battery from becoming too deeply discharged, and it’s also good for the lifespan of your battery!
