The **Bark River Pro Scalpel II** is a compact fixed knife, designed for EDC-use. This means that you can use it for many common tasks. The name Scalpel already implies that you can use it for very precise cutting tasks. That is true. Because of its compact size and thin tip you can use the Bark River Pro Scalpel 2 for precise tasks. The Pro Scalpel II is also great when gutting small game.
The blade is made from CPM 154. A premium type of stainless steel that retains its sharpness well. As you might expect from Bark River the knife is razor-sharp. The edge has been enhanced with a convex grind which you can maintain by stropping it.
The handle is made from Desert Ironwood. A type of hardwood mainly found in the United States and Mexico. Characterizing is the beautiful colour and the rich pattern. This great type of wood makes the knife look extra luxurious.
The Bark River Pro Scalpel II comes with a leather belt sheath (max. Belt width 5.3 cm).
Bark River makes all of its knives almost completely by hand. As such each knife is unique. Especially when you are working with natural materials a knife can differ from the photographs. The knife you receive can therefore be subtly different from the product photos. The model and type of material, however, will always be the same.
