The **Le Creuset TM-100 corkscrew** is based on a unique design from 1979 from Herbert Allen. This design ensures that the cork automatically rises when you turn the spiral in. You don’t have to apply pressure to pull out the cork.
The TM-100 corkscrew is made from black polycarbonate. This is a lightweight but strong material. The spiral is enhanced with a teflon coating. This coating ensures you can easily twist the spiral in and out of the cork. The cork does not crumble and pieces do not end up into the bottle.
The legs of the corkscrew are slightly flexible. As such you have a firm grip over the neck of the wine bottle. This ensures that you can easily turn the spiral in the cork.
## How to use the Le Creuset corkscrew
* Remove the foil from the bottle.
* Place the corkscrew on the bottleneck until the inner protrusions rest on the top of the bottle.
* Hold the corkscrew and lower the spiral on the cork.
* Press the spiral on the cork and turn the handle clockwise.
* Keep turning until the cork has come out of the bottle alongside the spiral. As such you don’t have to pull the cork from the bottle.
* Simply remove the corkscrew from the bottle and turn the handle counterclockwise. This is how the corkscrew comes off the spiral.
## Le Creuset Screwpull corkscrew
The method by which the cork rises when you turn the spiral is a unique design by Screwpull. Le Creuset took over Screwpull and now includes all products in its own range. Subjected to the same high quality standards, only the name is different.
