With the 20cm Spring Vulcano Cut Resist frying pan, burning is a thing of the past! The PFOA-free non-stick coating makes sure of this. The layer has the additional protection of the stainless steel grid placed on top. All the pans in this collection are suitable for all heat sources, including induction. Only heat the pan to a maximum of 250 degrees to prevent overheating. Higher temperatures may affect the non-stick coating. Spring offers a 5-year warranty on the non-stick coating and a 25-year warranty on the other parts.
## Unique 5-layer construction
Spring Vulcano frying pans have a 5-layer construction that ensures optimal heat conduction. The outer layer is 18/0 stainless steel. This type of steel makes the pans suitable for induction. The inner layer is 18/10 stainless steel. The 18 stands for 18% chromium and the 10 stands for 10% nickel. This is an excellent choice in terms of composition, because of chromium’s durability and nickel’s clarity. There is a 3-layer aluminium core between the inner and outer layers. Because of this structure, heat is evenly spread from the bottom to the edge of the pan and thus to the contents from all sides. This makes the pans more efficient and more economical.
On top of this 5-layer structure there is a 3-layer non-stick coating. This layer ensures that your food won’t burn. A special feature of this pan is the metal grid that has been placed on top of the non-stick coating. This allows utensils to glide across the grid without damaging the non-stick coating. which makes that layer even higher quality and more scratch-resistant. Nevertheless, we always recommend using utensils made of soft plastic, silicone or wood.
## Tips for use
Cleaning your pan well is essential. Before first use, wash the frying pan with warm water and a small amount of washing-up liquid. Then dry the pan fully. After use, the pan should be cleaned thoroughly with some washing-up liquid and a brush. Any food and protein residues remaining in the pan will burn in during the next use. After that, it becomes much more difficult to clean the pan. Simply wiping a kitchen paper towel over the pan is not enough!
The concentrated rinsing agents used in the dishwasher can impair and damage the materials. We therefore recommend that you always wash the pans by hand. This will keep your pans in top condition for longer.
Also, do not use olive oil for frying. It’s very tasty in a salad or stirred into pasta, but olive oil is not suitable for frying. When it reaches a temperature of 120 degrees or higher, harmful substances are released. Sunflower oil, coconut oil or simply butter are good alternatives.
