The **ESEE Churp** is a practical and compact pocket knife that is easy take with you during all your outdoor adventures. The thin flat-grind blade is perfect for various cutting tasks for which you would rather not use a large bushcraft or survival knife. Think of food prep and light wood work. Because of its size you hardly notice it in your pocket. Until you need it, of course.
## D2 steel blade
The blade is made from D2 steel. That’s a tough type of tool steel that can handle quite a lot and is easy to sharpen. Perfect for a pocket knife like the ESEE Churp that was made to be used. The only thing you need to take into account is rust: D2 is almost completely stainless but could, after long-term exposure to moist, acids or salt still stain. Fortunately you get a lot of toughness and strength in return.
You open the Churp with two hands, with the help of the nailnick. Because you cannot open it with one hand it is legal in many places in Europe. A solid liner lock locks the blade when opened.
## Micarta handle
The handle is made from micarta. Like many other ESEE knives. That’s a composite material of linen and synthetic resin. It offers a lot of grip. Even in humid circumstances. The great aspect of micarta is that it will form a patina in time, making the knife completely your own.
## ESEE Churp: a bang for your buck
All in all the ESEE Churp is an amazing *bang for your buck*. D2 steel, a cool handle material and an incredibly functional design. And all that for an amazing price. What more could you possibly ask for?
