## Materials and construction
The pans from the 3-ply collection are comprised of a three-layer system, called 3-ply. Two outer layers of stainless steel with an aluminium core. This sandwich construction is used throughout the pan, from the bottom to the edge. This ensures excellent heat conduction and also prevents heat zones. Thanks to this construction, the pans react quickly to changes in temperature from the cooking hob. As a result, dishes do not burn and it is possible to perfectly cook your stews.
## User tips
Remove labels and stickers from the pan before first use. Clean the pan with hot water and some detergent. You can also clean this cooking pot by hand, or put it in the dishwasher. Do, however, keep in mind that if you put them in the dishwasher the glossy finish can start to fade in time.
Always choose the right heat source and temperature for your pan. When using a stove make sure that the flames never reach further than the base of the kettle. Preferably use cookware made from wood, plastic or silicone. Metal cookware, like forks and spoons, can be used with care, but should not scrape the surface. Never cut any food in the pan. And do not tick your cookware against the edge of the pan. Light scratches can become visible with normal use but do not affect the function of the pan.
The measuring scale on the inside of the pans is very practical. You can measure liquids and keep a close eye on the reduction of sauces at the same time.
