The **Nitecore NU25** is a versatile rechargeable LED head torch. It is very lightweight, and offers three different light colours: white, red, and neutral white. Its compact size means it can be used in lots of different ways. Whether you’re camping, hiking, doing DIY or sports: with the Nitecore NU25 you can see exactly what you’re doing, or where you need to go.
The housing is made of a sturdy, lightweight plastic. Including the battery and excluding the head band, the light weighs just 28 grams. That really is an unprecedentedly low weight for a light with these functions! The Nitecore NU25 is USB rechargeable with the supplied micro-USB cable. This means you never have to fiddle around with loose batteries.
## How to use the Nitecore NU25
The Nitecore NU25 is super easy to use. There are two buttons on top: one for (neutral) white light, one for red light. Briefly hold down the button for white light to activate the neutral white mode.
## Nitecore NU25: what’s the difference between white and neutral white?
The neutral white LED has a high CRI value. This means the light colour is very realistic, so it looks quite warm in comparison with many normal LED flashlights. At least it appears that way, because the neutral white LED is neutral (as the name suggests!), and what we consider to be a normal LED beam is a very “cold” light. It can even be referred to as blue light. It is much easier to judge colours with a neutral white beam. A bluish light beam makes it extremely difficult to distinguish between red and brown, or between white and light blue. With a neutral white light beam, you do away with that problem, and just see the colours as they are.
