The **Fenix LD15R** is a practical rechargeable flashlight. It offers a white light beam of 500 ANSI lumens and a red beam of 4 ANSI lumens. It is the perfect companion when spending time on the campsite. Because of the deep-carry pocket clip you can easily carry it in your pocket, but you can also attach it to your backpack, chest pocket or cap. Great because the side of the light is enhanced with the reflector with LED lights.
The Fenix LD15R derives its strength from the included 16340 battery. You can charge the battery inside the light itself with the included micro-USB cable. The side switch contains a battery indicator that tells you exactly when it is fully charged. As a back-up or for very cold circumstances you can also use a CR123A battery (individually sold).
The pocket clip is great if you want to hang the light from your gear or clothing. You can also easily hang it from a rope. But the Fenix LD15R is also enhanced with another cool feature: a strong magnet. The back of the flashlight is enhanced with a strong magnet to make sure you can attach the light so steel surfaces. In your tent perhaps, or underneath the hood of your car.
The red light is perfect if you want to maintain your night vision. When, for instance, you need to go to the bathroom at night at the campsite and don’t want to wake up anyone. You can also use the red light to show a flashing mode or SOS mode.

## Prevent deeply-discharged batteries
Are you not planning to use your flashlight for a while? In that case, it’s best to unscrew the tailcap (the bottom end of the handle) a few turns. This will prevent your battery from becoming too deeply discharged, which can happen if the circuit of the battery stays in contact with the flashlight without being used or recharged in the meantime.A deeply discharged battery cannot always be revived and recharged, which would be a shame!
Do you have a flashlight with a built-in battery? Then make sure to charge your flashlight at least once every 3-4 months, even when not in use. This prevents the battery from becoming too deeply discharged, and it’s also good for the lifespan of your battery!
